Massage Therapy Policies and Guidelines

1. Session Timing
   Massage sessions will start and end at the scheduled time. If a client arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and the full session fee will apply.

2. Respect and Professionalism
   All clients will be treated with respect and dignity. Professional and personal boundaries will be maintained at all times.

3. Health Information
   Clients are required to provide accurate and up-to-date health information. Please inform your therapist of any changes to your health or medical condition.

4. Contagious Conditions
   Clients experiencing contagious illnesses—such as the common cold, flu, COVID-19, stomach viruses, or skin infections—should not come in for their appointment. Please call to cancel or reschedule once symptoms have resolved.

5. Infectious Symptoms
   If you have symptoms like fever, sore throat, or swelling at the time of your appointment, please notify your therapist and reschedule your session.

6. Scope of Practice
   Massage therapy sessions are strictly therapeutic and provided within the licensed scope of practice. Clients with serious or acute medical conditions should consult their healthcare provider.

7. Draping and Privacy
   Clients will be appropriately covered with a sheet throughout the session. Only the area being treated will be uncovered. Genitals are never exposed or massaged.

8. Confidentiality
   Your privacy is important. All personal and health information will be kept confidential.

9. Substance Use
   Clients under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be treated and will be asked to leave.

10. Zero Tolerance for Harassment
    Any inappropriate behavior or harassment will result in the immediate termination of the session. The therapist reserves the right to end the session if they feel unsafe at any time.
